VP DIGITAL AT ECOM
What’s your unexpected superpower at work?
Keeping it fun while keeping it real. I don’t micromanage—I hire great people who genuinely care about their work and others. The secret? Respect, flexibility, and trust. When you give people room to own their work in exchange for accountability, they do their best—and that’s a win for everyone.
What’s a work habit you swear by but others might think is crazy?
Before I share, let me preface this—everything I do is rooted in ‘what’s best for our clients and our team.’ If both aren’t thriving, we don’t have a business.
Now, onto my ‘crazy’ work habits:
Our team doesn’t include phone numbers in email signatures—not because we’re unavailable, but because we value delivering quality work and on time. In a fast-paced agency environment, random calls can derail focus and impact important client deliverables. Instead, we schedule calls with intention, and if urgent, often as soon as a request comes in. This ensures that when we do speak, our clients get our full attention—no distractions, just strategic, thoughtful solutions. It’s a win-win for all.
Meetings only from 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM – Being available all day sounds great in theory, but in reality, it creates a messy schedule with scattered 30-minute or 1-hour gaps—hardly enough time to dive deep into the work you hired us for. With a structured calendar, our team stays focused, efficient, and has dedicated time to execute and deliver real results.
What’s a piece of advice you used to roll your eyes at but now live by?
I’m not a “roll your eyes” kinda guy but great question.
I used to believe product specs and features were enough, but now I understand the power of branding, storytelling, and emotional connection in driving conversions.People don’t buy products; they buy feelings. Sounds cliché but proven time and time again to be true.
What’s something outside of work that secretly influences your approach at the agency?
Parenting twins has been the ultimate masterclass in communication. My wife and I have two amazing 9-year-olds, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that everyone—no matter their age—wants to be heard. This translates directly to how I run the agency, ensuring clients, team members, and stakeholders feel valued, understood, and truly listened to.
If you could work on a dream project, what would it be?
Great question! Almost 7 Years as VP Digital at ECOM DEPT already feels like a dream project. I get to push my leadership potential while working with a passionate, talented team that truly loves what they do—just ask anyone here! Ben and Bill have built a company with strong foundations, which makes it easy to focus on what really matters: evolving, innovating, and delivering results in an ever-changing digital world. It’s a fast-paced environment, but when you love what you do, it never really feels like work.
In addition, I launched an eyewear brand and am working on an eCommerce software that takes complex data and uses AI to turn it into instant, actionable insights—helping brands and agencies to make smarter decisions, faster.
I’m a lucky guy and thankful that I can focus on my dreams.
What's the weirdest but most genius idea your team has ever pitched?
“Let’s work a 4-day work week”
It may or may not ever be a “thing” in the United States like the pilots in countries such as Japan, Belgium and New Zealand. But work life balance is important and with the fast evolving world of AI and robotics, who knows what the future holds.
Coffee order:
Black. Keep it simple.
What’s your go-to move when you need to reset during a hectic day?
5-minute deep dive into something totally unrelated—off-road/overlanding content, macro economics, play with my dog or listen to my favourite hip hop playlist.
What's the best compliment you’ve ever received about your leadership style?“You make things feel possible.” That’s the goal, always.
